A Soldier's Pocket Therapist Book
This is a book of interventions for various emotional problems common to soldiers, i.e., homesickness, depression, anxiety, anger, etc. It was written for the soldier who will not go for help for fear it will harm their career. It is also meant to provide assistance when there is none, due to shortages or distant locations of support personnel. In July 2004 the New England Journal of Medicine examined mental health problems among 3671 soldiers and Marines three to four months after their return from Afghanistan or Irag. Up to 17% of these soldiers screened positive for major depression, generalized anxiety or PTSD. Of these 17%, only 23% sought treatment. This would make a great gift to give to your favorite hero.Read More
