Auras: What they are and how to read them Book

Auras is a personal journey through the author's own experiences of the human aura. Starting at an early age he has perceived bands of coloured light surrounding everyone, in a way that others rarely can. Along the way, Ostrom expands his theories of vision and the complex structure of human auras, which for him consist of seven layers of brightly glowing bands, with accompanying rays and spheres representing energy exchange with other beings. He recounts examples from his life and career of teaching himself to interpret the colour symbolism and auric patterns, enhancing his insight into other people's emotions, their health and even their futures. This has enabled him to practice as a "metaphysician", or healing practitioner, since "the emanations from the health aura reflect a person's physical health, fundamental motivations, and the workings of the present personality." He distinguishes several auric bodies, each representing different aspects of the subject. The health auras--physical, etheric and vital--are innermost, followed by astral and lower mental layers, with higher mental and spiritual auras located above the head. In examining these auras for diagnosis, visual evidence must be supplemented by the metaphysician's "Inner Eye" and intuition. Some exercises are included to help you train yourself to detect and read these auras to some degree.
