The Queen of chick-lit has done it again with her new book 'The Beach house'. This is fantastic story about Nantucket, a seemingly crazy old woman, who doesn't care what others think. Her husband died twenty years ago, and her family has left the area, so why not misbehave? Nan thinks nothing of using her neighbour's pools whilst they are away to skinny dip and to helping herself to their flowers. However, one day Nan realises that the money she thought would last her lifetime is fast dissolving and these desperate times cause for direct action! To get by, Nan advertises that she has rooms to rent as she lives near the beach, and soon enough people begin to move in, filling the house with life, drama and laughter; that is until one day an unexpected visitor turns up and turns their lives upside-down!
