However, what sets Wilson apart from the crowded shelves of self-help titles is his very practical, can-do approach, coupled with a genuine sincerity--he has mastered the secrets of calm, is calm in the midst of a hectic professional, domestic and social life, and is convinced that with patience and a certain degree of focus, anyone can do and be the same. Calm for Life is the fifth of his books on calm. It's an excellent distillation of his work so far--containing a thorough description of calm; explanations as to why it's essential to have a calm centre; a step-by-step guide to developing calm; lessons on how "deep calm" can be meaningfully applied to your life; and how calm can remain a permanent feature.
