Clay-shooting was originally intended as a means for improving the gameshooter's performance in the field, but recently it has moved away from its roots, and the majority of clay shooters never fire at a live target. This book examines every aspect of the discipline, with help and advice from the author, an expert clay shooter himself, and many other practitioners of the sport. Three major disciplines are discussed. The most natural is sporting, and special attention is given to English and international sporting. The oldest clay discipline is trap which has evolved over the years into several sub-disciplines, the most testing of which is the Olympic trap, featured in the Olympic Games.
