Devil's Bridge: A Caribbean Adventure Thriller Book

Tom Cheke, a former brilliant RAF test pilot inherits a derelict plantation in Antigua in the late 1980s plus some valuable paintings, which he puts up for auction. One of these is subsequently stolen. Striking a deal with Australian Mark Hunter, renovations start at the old house. Tom's Antiguan lawyer Leroy Coates however, is involved with an unscrupulous Government Official and Kevin McIlroy over a bogus lease deal that has misappropriated Tom's land for a development project. A series of violent assaults lead to vital documents being stolen and attempted arson. Tom's legal rights however, force the corrupt officials to fly to Switzerland to meet their banker who cancels all development finance but surprises them with an alternative. Providing they agree to deliver certain packages, via diplomatic bag, finance will be forthcoming. In pursuit of McIlroy, the head of an American insurance company arrives in Antigua with his lawyer daughter Susie Lantana. The British Government is also keen to see McIlroy brought to trial and they broker a deal with Tom. Both U.K. and U.S. parties engage Tom, utilising his flying expertise in the hunt for McIlroy. Launching a complex airborne operation, in co-operation with the Royal Navy, Tom orchestrates a high-powered speedboat chase that ends in a deadly gun-battle and impasse for McIlroy. Can Tom smash the international crime syndicate and recover his stolen painting?Read More
