The book is written by Simon Le Bon with Neill Cheston, and charts the story of the Maxi yacht Drum competing in the Fastnet race during 1986. The crew members on board the yacht included Simon Le Bon and Duran Duran's managers Paul and Michael Berrow, when Drum suddenly lost her keel in gale force winds and capsized. The book describes this near fatal incident which trapped six crew inside including Simon Le Bon. The yacht was later completely re-fitted in record time making the start of the Whitbread Round the World Race with just 2 days to spare, against these incredible odds she went onto take 3rd place out of 15 entrants.
