Elf Night: a Christmas Story, is the richly illustrated, delightful tale of how "Elf Night" came about. Elf Night is December 23, when the Santas' Elves come around to see if there are any obstacles in a home, such as dogs, alarms etc, that would slow a Santa down. If everything checks out, and the children's bedrooms are neat and clean, the elves take any last minute notes from adults or children and leave a small gift in the child's shoes or socks. The tale introduces many of the world's Santa figures such as Ded Moroz (Father Frost) and his granddaughter helper Snegurocha (Snow Maiden) of Russia and Bafina the elderly lady Santa figure of Italy. the heroes of the story are the two littlest elves, twin brother (Meezer) and sister (Mennah), who overcome adversity to have their idea of Elf Night win a contest. A contest created by the Council of Santas to solve the logistic's problems of so many kids and gifts and so little time.
