This story of a spirit doctor is an account of how the author, stricken with threatened blindness, consulted the medium George Chapman. A former Aylesbury fireman, Chapman was purported to be controlled by a famous consultant surgeon, William Lang, who died in 1937. To the author's astonishment he was completely cured where traditional practitioners had failed, by this long dead surgeon operating on his spirit body. Hutton decided to investigate further.
