Immaculate Deception Book
"IMMACULATE DECEPTION" A novel by Stephen Leonard Lancashire Can you remember the exact day when your childhood ended? Some people say their childhood seemed to last forever. Others aren't so lucky. Frank Carroll and Ted Maloney's childhood ended when they were just nine years old. During the summer of 1980 they are playing in the ruins of an old Keep off the coast of Carrickfergus in Northern Ireland. Their play is interrupted when a group of drunken young men and a fourteen-year-old girl turn up in a stolen car. The young girl is about to lose not only her childhood but also her life. It is December 2004, Frank Carroll is now a Detective Inspector with the Merseyside Major Incident Team, and Ted is the Reverend Father at the Holy Church of Trinity in Liverpool. A sequence of apparently unrelated rape victims are found dead in Liverpool and convinced that a serial rapist and murderer is on the loose, DI Carroll assisted by Ted Maloney and the team from MIT launch a major investigation to catch the killer. A series of events unfold during the investigation, which gradually reveals the Immaculate Deception. As they unlock the doors releasing the ghosts of their own hidden past, DI Carroll and Father Maloney are faced with their greatest challenge. To catch the killer they must go back to Northern Ireland, and after twenty-four years of being sworn to secrecy, they must expose the hidden truth about what they saw that day at the at the Keep, the day their childhood ended. You can run from the truth and you can even try to bury your past, but one thing is certain, the day will come when the past catches up with you . . . For Frank and Ted that day has arrived.Read More
