Issues (2) - Teacher's Notes 1: Cross-curricular Course for PSE: Teachers' Resources Bk. 1 (Issues - the Cross-curriculur Course for PSE) Book
These teacher's resources accompany the first book in a PSE course for pupils of all abilities at Key Stages 3 and 4. The series is designed for use on a year-by-year basis, with Book 1 corresponding to Year 7, but the structure is flexible enough to allow teachers to use the sections selectively. Each of the pupils' books contains at least three units on each of the themes which the NCC has identified as "essential parts of the whole curriculum" - economic and industrial understanding, careers education and guidance (including self-awareness), health education, education for citizenship and environmental education. The activities involve the use of all the cross-curricular skills - communication, numeracy, study skills, problem-solving, personal and social skills, and information technology. The teacher resources include photocopiable questionnaires, activities, further information and stimulus material, designed to support and extend the variety of topics in the pupils' books. Also included is guidance on every spread in the pupils' books, identifying not only the cross-curricular themes, but also the various skills involved in each unit.Read More
