These weatherproof Outstanding All Weather Maps are the last word in durability. Each one is produced using the latest edition of the relevant Ordnance Survey folded paper Landranger map, which is then encapsulated in a polyester film which is much stronger than the polypropylene commonly used for this type of map. Each of these Outstanding All Weather Landranger Maps now comes supplied in an overprinted, soft satin-matt, clear plastic sleeve, which acts as a calculation-free distance ruler, and bearing finder. The sleeve also acts as a protective and compacting holder for the map when it is not in use. Landranger maps are printed at a scale of 1:50,000 which means that each covers an area of land four times that of a similarly sized OS Explorer map. A wealth of visitor information is detailed on the Landranger maps; including National Trust properties, museums, castles, golf courses and railways. These maps also show tourist information, camping and caravan sites, picnic areas and viewpoints, selected places of interest, plus rights-of-way information for England and Wales.
