Landlord and Tenant Law in Practice (Inns of Court Bar Manuals) Book

This manual, supporting the landlord and tenant option in the Bar Vocationla Course, considers the statutory codes governing the three types of tenancy most frequently encountered and includes the important amendments made by the Housing Act 1996 relevant to these codes. Both the option and manual also include three other areas of great importance early in practice: the unlawful eviction of a tenant or licensee; the liability of both landlord and tenant for repair of the premises; and the evergreen lease/licence distinction. Other residential statutory codes encountered less frequently are also outlined. In addition to the necessary discussion of the substantive law, the manual contains practical guidance and checklists.
