This book documents and builds on the experiences of a team of special educators in south India who have been experimenting with a new and better strategy for providing services to children with special needs. This approach is based on training rehabilitation workers in physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and speech and language therapy, thereby preparing them to serve as transdisciplinary workers.
