This book provides a practical, well-structured, yet rigorous introduction to the management of evaluation in education. Managing evaluation is now an area of priority concern in both schools and colleges, but despite a growing number of books on education management few have dealt with the subject of managing evaluation in any depth. The granting of substantial devolved powers to schools and colleges under the Education Reform Act also has fundamental implications for evaluation. "Managing Evaluation in Education" is designed to meet this need, and draws on the author's major two-year project into management development for monitoring, review and evaluation in TVEI.
