The education White Paper EXCELLENCE IN SCHOOLS states that by 2002 there will be national homework guidelines and that Ofsted will expect to have a homework policy. "Shared" homework activities are strongly recommended by the National Numeracy Strategy: parents and children working at home to develop key skills.
