"More Advanced Quantity Surveying", one of Arthur J. Willis's student texts, was first written in 1939 as a companion to "Elements of Quantity Surveying", but has not been available since 1971. This new book retains the original title but presents a completely new set of up-to-date worked examples, linked to associated detailed measurements with a commentary. The large format of the book allows the measurements to be reproduced facsimile A4, thus familiarising students with office practice. The book is written in accordance with SMM6, but in its elemental format and association of drawings and measurements, it looks ahead to changes which are likely to be introduced by SMM7.
