The ILSI Risk Science Institute and the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) planned and conducted a Pellston workshop, convened in Pellston, Michigan, in September 1997, to address multiple stressors in biological assessments. The goal of the workshop was to develop a framework to assess, compare, and manage the impacts of multiple stressors on biological systems. Each breakout group produced a report of its proceedings, and these reports were integrated by the editors into a workshop report.
