My Grandparents (My Family) Book

This is a book in a series which will tell very young children about the members of a typical family. It starts by explaining in a child's own words that her four grandchildren all began life as small babies, and that they grew into children who made friends and played games. When they were grown up each pair of grandparents met, fell in love, and married. Each pair had a baby - one who was to become the child's mother, and the other her father. We see the two babies growing up to become adults, marrying and having their own baby. Ever since she was born, the child's grandparents have played a special part in her life, coming to visit, taking her for walks, and reading her stories. Above all, they have been part of her family. There is a section for teachers and parents which includes notes on how to use the book with pre-readers and first readers, and suggested discussion points which relate specifically to the illustrations.
