Because it avoids complex operations in Javascript and DHTML and has an interface similar to common word processing applications, Adobe PageMill is a Web development application that appeals to users with little or no experience in Web design. The book is also well suited for this audience, covering such basic computer issues as closing versus quitting. However, these elementary directions are labelled "Tips" and set apart from the main text, which allows more advanced readers to skip past them. Readers get a basic overview of the internet and HTML in general, then learn about PageMill 3's interface. The book then shows how to create pages, edit and format text, insert images and plug-in objects, create and edit tables, add links, use frames and forms and troubleshoot their HTML and manage an entire site.
