Crooked financier Byron Fuller has planned what he thinks is the perfect murder of his wife Lucy. He has arranged a holiday for them in Greece but murders and buries Lucy the night before they are due to leave. His mistress, Serena, an accomplished actress POD-Distribution & Short Runsguises herself as Lucy then takes her place on the holiday. A fake boat accident is staged where Serena as Lucy is supposedly drowned with no chance of her body ever being recovered.. But unknown to him, Byron was seen strangling Lucy by a pompous and outwardly respectable voyeur Paul Thewell. Paul is afraid of being exposed as a voyeur; so does not contact the police immePOD-Distribution & Short Runately but writes an anonymous letter to them accusing Byron of murder. When Paul reads of the boating accident in the local press and there is no response from the police Paul works out what Byron has done he sets out to get money by blackmailing him. To add to Byron's troubles, his wife mother has a brother who is an enforcer for an East London gang and she sets him on Byron's trail.
