Philip's Europe Reference Map (Wall Map Folded) Map

This brightly-coloured wall chart has been fully updated for 2005 and shows the whole of Europe in political colours at a scale of 1:5 660 000 (70 miles to 1 inch), with clear lettering and symbols for easy reference. Individual countries are picked out in bright distinctive colours to aid identification, with city and town names clearly shown, as well as roads, railways, airports, rivers and sea contours. In addition, a series of smaller thematic maps beneath the main map show population density, climate, relief of land and the regions of the European Union, as well as climate graphs and a distance chart. The latest countries to join the EU in May 2004 were Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, the Slovak Republic and Slovenia; the other 15 members of the EU are Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and the UK - making a total of 25 altogether, all of which are shown on the chart.
