Principles of Addiction Medicine Book
Addictionists and clinicians from across California will meet for a day of education and discussion of addiction public policy issues with our elected representatives. The California Society of Addiction Medicine is a state medical specialty society of physicians dedicated to improving the treatment of alcoholism and other drug dependencies. The goals of CSAM include increasing access to and improving the treatment of alcoholism and other drug dependencies. Through our Public Policy Commit-tee, we are deeply committed to working closely with our elected and appointed representatives to help shape public policy. Even where other methods have failed, the application of medical principles to the treatment of alcoholism and addiction often results in stunning success. Addicts and alcoholics must be held accountable for their behavior. But, as with any other medical condition, to achieve a successful outcome, we must make medical treatment readily accessible. Please join us for this historic day!Read More
