The New Revised Standard Version of the Bible was always intended to be an ecumenical project, and it has found a warm reception in churches of most traditions. The translation has been well received in the Catholic Church, and the publication of an edition that includes the books of the Bible in Catholic canonical order is therefore extremely welcome. The British Anglicized Text has been used for this new Bible, ensuring that Catholic readers and others who prefer this format will be instantly comfortable with the spelling, punctuation, and phrasing.
