The Greek Economy: Sources of Growth in the Postwar Era Book
In this volume, the sources of growth in the postwar Greek economy are analyzed using the growth accounting model. The Greek experience is also contrasted with that of other countries, and general as well as country-specific causes for recent slowdowns in productivity growth are analyzed. Tsaliki focuses on the period 1950-1973, when the growth of output was roughly attributable to total input factor and output per unit, and the 1973-1985 period, when growth of productivity became negative. Explanations for these patterns are proposed and compared with those offered for other countries' experiences during these periods.Read More
