The Grey Book: Forms of Contract, Adjudication Rules Book
Initially produced in response to the statutory right to adjudication introduced to construction contracts for work in the UK by the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996 and in Northern Ireland by the Construction Contracts (Northern Ireland) Order 1997. Dispute resolution is now firmly established and the third edition has been prepared with the benefit of greater experience of the adjudication process. It also takes into account decisions of the Courts and responses to comments received from current users. The Grey Book is intended to be used in conjunction with IChemEs Forms of Contract for work covered by the provisions of the Act or the Order. Clauses on statutory adjudication are incorporated in IChemEs Forms of Contract. This procedure aims to resolve disputes quickly, preventing lengthy and costly delays.IChemE, the Institution of Chemical Engineers, is the center for chemical, biochemical and process engineering professionals worldwide.
