The Really Useful Science Book: Framework of Knowledge for Primary Teachers Book

This text has been written with primary classroom teachers and teachers-in-training in mind. It has been designed to support and extend both teachers' and students' own knowledge and understanding of science, and should be of particular interest to those teachers and student teachers who see themselves as non-specialists. Throughout the book every effort has been made to interpret the ideas and concepts of science in accessible language, using everyday examples as illustrations. The book consists of three major sections: life and living processes, materials and their properties, and physical processes. For each section, key ideas are suggested and these are then expanded to include important related science concepts.
