Thermal Stability of Engineering Heterochain Thermoresistant Polymers (New Concepts in Polymer Science) Book

The book presents investigations of the following polymeric materials and composites, derived from them. Chapter 1 presents studies of degradation of aliphatic-aromatic polyimides and poly(alkane imides) in melts, thermal and thermooxidative degradation, and solid-phase oxidation. Chapter 2 discusses high-temperature degradation of aliphatic aromatic polyamides and their thermal oxidation in the solid phase - the aging. Chapter 3 shows results on degradation of polyphenylquinoxalines and co-polyi midophenylquinoxalines. Chapter 4: Polysulfone and polyester-imide degradation in melts and solid-phase oxidation. Labile structures and additives, polysulfones, polyester-imides, aliphatic-aromatic polyamides and poly(alkane imide) and composites derived from them are discussed. Data on glass-filled composites derived from polyalkyl-imide are shown. The mechanisms of action of transition metal compounds and degradation transformations of heterochain polymers in the presence of stabilizers - phosphorus-containing compounds - are discussed.
