Tony Cragg Book
Born in Liverpool in 1949, Cragg abandoned his scientific background to pursue a career as an artist. He exhibited internationally and won the Turner Prize in 1988. His sculpture is diverse in form, material and texture, and ranges from early works in natural elements to large-scale plastic and wood assemblages; from metal spiked pieces to smooth bronzes. The book gives a visual survey of his work dating from the late 1960s, to the present day. Colour plates focus on individual works. Interwoven with the photographs are reflections from the artist himself on his methods and motivations.Read More
