UltraAge: Everywoman's Guide to Facing the Future Book
If you fancy a lifestyle change as you are approaching your mature years, then this is for you. This comprehensive book on the ageing process covers all aspects of growing older, gracefully or not so gracefully--the choice is yours. The authors begin by describing the "Seven Ages of Women"--chronicling changes that happen to women as they grow older. It offers a complete makeover, giving advice on beauty regimes, make-up, hairstyles and fashion for the older lady, as well as exercise and diet. Tips from celebrities are also included, plus a detailed guide to cosmetic surgery. Included in the chapter on the menopause is a balanced account of the benefits and drawbacks of hormone replacement therapy and the alternatives available. This glossy book is light-hearted and amusing to read. It is incredibly positive and easy to dip into without needing to read from cover to cover. What the authors are saying is that ageing is all about attitude--you are as old as you feel and the general idea is to make you feel younger. But be warned, your new image may cost you financially--the authors do not believe in skimping on yourself and may encourage you to indulge in a little pampering, probably well overdue. Perhaps you should start with a good book on the ageing process … --Carole ButterworthRead More
