Product Description
Established in 1801, the Chasseurs Britanniques Regiment was formed from the remains of the Prince of Conde''s Army that had fought against the revolutionary armies of France.
This is the first history of this unique regiment of French e'migre's, a founding unit, of the 7th Division, nicknamed the 'Mongrels', who served with them with distinction until the end of the Peninsular War in 1814.
No book has ever been written specifically on the history of this unit, the only major regiment of Wellington's army to be neglected in this way.
