Woman Against Woman (Dodo Press) Book
Florence Marryat (1837-1899) was a British author and actress. She was particularly known for her sensational novels and her involvement with several celebrated spiritual mediums of the late nineteenth century. At the age of 43, Marryat entered the stage, taking a role in a drama she had written, Her World Against a Lie, in 1881. She always used the name Marryat professionally, beginning with her first novel, Love's Conflict (1865). She published over 75 more novels before her death, as well as various non-fiction works. Amongst her other works are Woman Against Woman (1865), The Girls of Feversham (1869), Petronel (1870), The Root of All Evil (1879), Her Father's Name (1883), Driven To Bay (1887), The Risen Dead (1891), At Heart a Rake (1895) and A Rational Marriage (1899).Read More
