World Youth Games Book

This work contains over 300 youth games and activities from around the world, with the aim of bringing to life the cultures of various people and races. It concentrates on games that will be unfamiliar to most potential players in the United Kingdom. The book is divided into three parts: "The World of Youth Games" which includes tables and board games such as "Dreidles", "Crag" and "The Dictionary Game"; "The World of Activities" which bring together playground games, outdoor sequences and group recreations such as "Fighting Kites" and "States Shuffleboard"; and "The World of Relationship Games" which offers games for use in groups where adults are trying to enhance young people's self-confidence and social, linguistic and numerical skills. Equipment, aims and rules of the game are covered, and advice is offered on how successful each activity is likely to be with different ages and ability groups.
